1U Rackmount LCD: Compact space saving device used for surveillance

1u 20 rackmount lcd keyboard drawer combo ps2 or usb interface-1600x1200 video resolution

In order to efficiently manage a user’s data in limited space environments, the 1U Rackmount LCD was introduced. Supporting various types of video inputs such as HDMI, DVI, S- Video, VGA, Composite BNC and so forth this device is a space saving and cost efficient piece of hardware. Equipped with a flip up design that has been integrated into a sliding drawer, this unit has several options such as being sunlight readable, having a shallow depth or a touch screen which make this device unique. The 1U LCD monitor is available with Samsung LCD screen in 17”, 19” and 20”.

These devices offer a space-saving, streamlined approach to IT environments. A keyboard, a LCD monitor and a touchpad are all integrated in 1U housing. These units have a user friendly design, making them a ready to use unit which does not require complex installation procedures. Enhancing secure and compact centralized server control, they offer an affordable solution with reliability & quality.
Supporting standard resolutions ranging up to 1600×1200, these units also support the native SUN resolution. Other options include 12V, 24V, and 48V DC power. In addition, they are compatible with IBM, HP, Dell, SUN Microsystems, Mac’s and others. The 1U Rackmount LCD keyboard also has a unique mechanical design to maximize rack mountable space. The front panel is made of black anodized aluminum and has lock out rails to prevent movement of the keyboard. This device also has a built in on screen display and panel button controls which allow for adjustment of Brightness, Contrast, Phase & Clock, Color, H & V Position,Auto-tune, Recall & Language. The connectors are standard D-sub 15-pin VGA for the input and it also has a front access lock for security purposes.

Used in both industrial as well as commercial applications, the 1U Rackmount LCD units are compliant with all agency approvals such as FCC, CE, VCCI, TAA as well as RoHS. The USP of this device is that its sliding, flip up design allows the unit to remain open when the rack door is closed. All these features make this a piece of hardware which is in great demand.

Rackmount Monitor: Save cost and investment in additional equipment

A rugged display device attached to metal racks and normally used in industrial or commercial environments is known as a Rackmount monitor. This device is mounted on a steel or aluminum frame rack with regularly spaced holes that are attached to the corresponding holes in the steel bars on the rack. This allows the equipment to be secured on to the rack. These rack monitors are available in various sizes such as 1U, 6U, 7U, 8U and 9U LCDs, short or shallow depth LCDs or sunlight readable LCDs. The short depth LCD is 18.9” deep and is made to fit in smaller than normal depth server rack environments.

Operating on plug and play functionality, these devices do not require any additional drivers or other such software. Screen sizes of the rack LCD range from 17”, 19” and 20” Samsung LCD and support video connections such as VGA, HDMI, DVI-D, Composite, S-Video, BNC, HDMI and Touch Screen (Resistive, Capacitive and Infrared). Resolutions range from 1024x768 up to 1600x1200. These units are equipped with lock out rails to prevent keyboard movement. Some of the devices also have additional security features in the form of front access locks.

Different models of these Rackmount devices serve different purposes. The quad screen LCD is a perfect choice for surveillance as it enables viewing four video inputs simultaneously on a single screen. Available in two versions, 4:3 and 16:9 video resolution, this device has screen sizes ranging from 17” to 22”. Rackmount sunlight readable LCDs are designed so that the video can be clearly seen even in outdoor lighting conditions. Compatible with IBM, HP, Dell, Sun Microsystems and others, these devices have brightness up to 1000 cd/m2.

A key feature which is present in the 1U variant of this device is the unique flip up design that allows the unit to remain open even when the rack door is closed. They also have OSD controls for Brightness, Contrast, Color, Clock, H. Position, V. Position, Phase, Scaling, Auto config, Input select, Multi window, Clear EEPROM, OSD adjust and Save. The unique mechanical design of the Rackmount monitor maximizes rack mountable space making it a perfect choice in space restricted environments.

Rackmount KVM Drawer: Space saving & convenient secure KVM solution

A combination of a Rackmount LCD monitor, a keyboard and a mouse, the Rackmount KVM Drawer is a space saving storage solution. Built with heavy-duty steel, these devices take up less space and also require less ventilation as they generate minimal heat. Rack depths can vary depending on model type from 18.9” to 25.6”. These drawers are equipped with features like ball bearings that hold the unit in place when it is not in use and prevent it from sliding in or out during use. With the addition of a two inch wide palm rest, the keyboard can be easily used. In and out drawer movements are not restricted by cables since these devices have rear mounted cable carriers.

The Rackmount Drawer can have PS2 and/or USB interfaces as well as a variety of video inputs including VGA, HDMI, DVI, S-Video, and Composite RCA or BNC. Offering multi language support, these devices are compatible with all kinds of KVM switches. FCC, CE and RoHS certified, these devices are available with 12V, 24V, and 48V DC power options. All these features make it a popular choice in places where there is a limitation of space. This drawer can be ordered with several combinations of KVM and keyboard/mouse/video configurations. The control function allows multiple computers to be managed, set up, administered and maintained from a single console drawer with an integrated KVM switch.

Available in many switch styles such as the USB switch, PS2 switch, IP KVM switch or the Cat5 switch, the Rackmount KVM Drawer also differs with screen sizes including 17”, 19” and 20”. The KVM over IP version of this device allows remote access to servers over the TCP/IP network via web browser and is SSL V2/V3 encrypted for secure transmission. This device is preferred over the other versions available as it enables increased distance of up to 40 meters between the switch and your servers in addition to the configurable advanced user profiles and OSD hot key combinations. The Cat5 version is an ideal solution for larger networks that have multiple servers in several locations.

The Rackmount KVM offers a perfect solution in space restricted environments since it can be used to manage servers in directly from the racks. This device is found in data centers, server rooms and SOHO or government applications.
