Cleveland, (Ohio) December 04th, 2010: The Rackmount LCD monitor has been introduced with the intention of saving space in constrained environments like server rooms. Equipped with a flip up design, these monitors are available in various models like 1U, 2U, 6U, 7U 8U, shallow depth LCDs, sunlight readable LCDs etc. Working on plug and play functionality, these monitors do not require any additional drivers or software for operation. Compatible with multiple video formats such as VGA Video, Composite Video (Standard RCA, BNC Optional), S-Video, HDMI, DVI-D and Touch screen, the greatest feature of this unit is the sliding, flip up design which allows the unit to remain open even when the rack door is closed for easy viewing.
The Rackmount monitor is available in multiple screen sizes ranging from 17” to 22”, supporting resolutions from 1024x768 up to 1600x1200. The Sun Solaris unit supports the native SUN resolution of 1152x900. These LCDs are also available with optional 12V, 24V, and 48V DC power options. Rack LCD units are compatible with IBM, HP, Dell, SUN Microsystems, Mac’s and others. Consisting of a black anodized aluminum front panel, this LCD is light weight and has a built in OSD with panel button controls. To prevent movement of the keyboard, this device has lock out rails as well ball bearing telescopic slides with a stopper along with a front access lock for security.
Another high end product which has recently been introduced by SmartVM is the Video Audio Matrix Switcher. This hardware device is designed to allow switching of audio and video signals from multiple sources to multiple audio and sound devices in any combination. This routing solution is extremely flexible and has easy set up format. Available in various models ranging in sizes of 2 inputs and 2 outputs to as large as 32 inputs and 16 outputs; this device can be cascaded to provide endless configurations. The Matrix Switch unit can be controlled using front panel push buttons, RS232 software, Infrared remote or TCP/IP. This device is also available in multiple video formats such as the VGA AV Matrix, DVI Matrix Switch, HDMI AV Matrix Switch, Component AV Matrix Switch, Composite AV Matrix and the Cat5 AV Matrix.
